INSPIRATION & CONSULTATION

We’ll determine the direction for your invitations and discuss design ideas. At this stage I’ll gather info from you through the semi-custom invitation questionnaire or completely custom invitation questionnaire and will provide you with a custom quote. (You may also schedule a phone consultation if preferred.) Once you decide if I’m a good fit for you and what you envision, we’ll move to booking!

BOOKING

To reserve services, a 50% retainer fee and signed contract are required. We’ll set the project start date based on your wedding timeline and your invitations will be reserved on my project calendar. You’ll receive a timeline detailing our deadlines for the various stages of the process in order to keep us on track, along with a design questionnaire for you to complete for me to gather all of your wording details and design preferences to create your invitations.

DESIGN & APPROVAL

During the design phase, I’ll create digital proofs of your invitation for you to review. For semi-custom designs, the design phase lasts approximately 1-2 weeks after the project start date. One round of revisions is included if you need to make any changes. For completely custom invitations, you’ll see initial proofs within 3-6 weeks of the project start date, and we’ll make any necessary revisions until we have a good fit!


PRINTING & ASSEMBLY

Once you sign off on the design, the remaining balance is due and production begins. Production times vary based on printing method and options selected (embellishments, assembly services, calligraphy addressing, etc.).


SHIPPING

Orders ship 2-6 weeks from approval, depending on printing method and options selected (embellishments, assembly, calligraphy addressing, etc.) If you’ve ordered your suites with guest addressing and postage, all you’ll have to do is take them to the post office!


DAY-OF ITEMS

Once your invites are complete, we’ll shift focus to your day-of stationery items and discuss how we can carry the same aesthetic throughout all of your wedding day paper items (place/escort cards, menus, programs, signage, etc.) for a cohesive feel.


For your reference, here are some suggested time frames for various steps of the invitation process. For destination weddings, add an extra month. 

7-10 MONTHS BEFORE WEDDING: Begin finalizing your guest list and gather addresses

6-9 MONTHS BEFORE WEDDING: Send Save the Dates

3-4 MONTHS BEFORE WEDDING: Invitation Production, Assembly, and Addressing

2 MONTHS BEFORE WEDDING: Mail Invitations to Guests, Book Day-of Stationery Services

1 MONTH BEFORE WEDDING: Suggested RSVP Date, Order/Finalize Day-of Stationery Items
